I also wanted to mention that I've been using a glue called Foam Fusion from the Hotwire Foam Factory team. I have no idea what makes this different from the normal PVA glue, but this stuff works MUCH better. It's seems a bit thinner making application easier, more tacky and sets up very quickly. To add some support while the glue dries I tape up the joints using blue painters tape.
