The War Sphinx howdah is almost complete, just need to finish some the skulls and ropes. I'm really happy with how it turned out as I didn't spend too much time on it. The detail on the floor of the howdah was painted with hawk turquoise and highlighted with a couple of layers of bleached bone mixed in. Then I did something I heard the Point Hammered boys talking about and washed the turquoise with scab red. It turned out pretty interesting, too bad no one will get to see it once the crew is glued in. I should also mention that I always pin crew to the floors of chariots and howdahs. It makes the model much more robust and it also makes gluing the crew in after they are painted much easier.
